Safetech Innovations Participates in CyDEx 2024 National Cybersecurity Exercise
Between September 24-26, 2024, Safetech Innovations had the honor of participating in the seventh edition of the CyDEx national cybersecurity exercise, organized by the Romanian Intelligence Service through the National Cyberint Center. This strategically significant event for national security brought together over 500 experts from various sectors, including public, private, and academic fields, involving more than 80 institutions with roles in cybersecurity.
CyDEx is distinguished as the only national cybersecurity exercise focused on practical, hands-on approaches, providing an ideal setting for simulating complex cyber-attack scenarios. Throughout the exercise, participants faced six different scenarios, including phishing, script, exploit, zero-day attacks, Android device compromise, and threats targeting critical infrastructure and cloud environments. These scenarios tested the responsiveness and technical expertise of all involved.
Through its presence at CyDEx, Safetech Innovations once again demonstrated its firm commitment to protecting critical infrastructures and national cybersecurity. The company actively participated in addressing simulated cyber incidents, contributing to strengthening resilience and defense capabilities against emerging cyber threats.
The primary objective of CyDEx 2024 was to test and improve Romania’s cyber defense capabilities by simulating complex scenarios reflecting current online threats. The event also significantly contributed to enhancing the public-private partnership, an essential aspect in creating an efficient alert and response mechanism to cybersecurity incidents.
